The role of the Advisory Board is to provide research guidance and augment the company's current research programmes in both the medical and technology fields. The Advisory Board will assist in the identification and development of new and promising medical technologies for the Company.
Uscom is especially pleased to have Professor Colin Sullivan as a member of the Advisory Board.
Professor Sullivan is the inventor of ResMed's nasal CPAP for treating obstructive sleep apnea and former Chairman of ResMed's Medical Advisory Board. He is Professor of Medicine, and Head of the Centre for Respiratory Failure and Sleep Disorders, as well as a thoracic physician at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He is Director of the David Read Research Laboratory and Director of the Australian Centre for Advanced Medical Technology at the Sydney University Medical School.
